Have you ever felt frustrated, underappreciated, or even mistreated at work? Maybe your boss micromanages everything you do. Maybe you work harder than everyone else but thank thank you have a good day never get recognized. Maybe your workplace feels toxic, and every day is a battle to stay positive.

You're not alone!

In this podcast we discuss the Biblical story of Joseph. Joseph was a man who was wrongfully accused, mistreated by his boss, and thrown in prison - yet he still held on to his faith. If you're in a tough season at work, this episode is for you as we discuss how to rely on God even when your workplace feels like a daily battlefield. Looking back in my career, I can honestly say I've tried a lot of different fields. I've been in fast food, hotel, banking, airlines, radio, even now working at a Pre-K school, but mostly in the finance field to name just a few. Though most of my jobs I enjoyed the experience, I would say 95% of the time I left due to the boss and the toxic environment. As a person with an HR background it makes me sad to see how so many companies wouldn’t take better care of their employees. I have often seen companies would rather pay higher wages for a new employee due to staff shortages than pay their current employees higher wages so they may remain loyal and stay with the company. I have actually seen employees leave due to the unfair wages of someone new starting there making just as much as an employee whose been there for 5 years. So the cycle just continues. I'll be honest, I have faced the same issues in my career but one thing I am grateful for is that in spite of this, I have remained faithful in knowing God is my Boss and God is the one who provides my promotions. Truthfully in most of the companies I worked for, I have remained there for mostly 5 years or more. So yes, even if your boss or workplace mistreats you God will ultimately take care of you and give you the peace to endure your daily battles there, until he promotes you rather it be in the company or another. Be encouraged knowing our God is our provider and our ultimate Boss.
